Current projects and personal work

My graduate work became featured in Computer Arts magazine as a highlight for new emerging talent in 2015. I’m thrilled to be one of 50 selected graduates from all over the UK to be included in this article. In addition, I have taken part in ‘45 Symbols’, a Falmouth University project where my work has been exhibited in Cologne, Germany, and published in a book. Over the past 3 years I have enjoyed producing my own designs which I sell in a local gift shop including typographic maps and a tea towel design. I also produce and sell bespoke design textile prints and products which I sell on Etsy and Instagram as Katie Morgan Design. I’ve recently finishd a re-branding project for a dementia charity choir and took part in staging an exhibition for them.

Experience

Limegreentangerine (Cardiff) - 2015/16

Working on a variety of briefs, including a resturant chain based in Cardiff, creating promotional and event material. Amongst other briefs, my design for a speech disability app was chosen by the client.

Springetts (London) - 2015

Whilst here I worked on packaging concepts for the re-brand of Aunt Bessie’s and GU desserts, as well as designing SRP’s for other food products.

Felt Branding (Cornwall) - 2015

During my placement I worked on creating an identity for an upcoming finance app. My time at Felt greatly improved my skills in all Adobe software.

Mytton Williams (Bath) - 2014

I had the opportunity of working with the agency at the beginning of a project to help reinvigorate the identity for a drama based training agency. As part of this I developed strategies and visual outcomes.

The experience improved my digital skills and helped me understand the fast paced nature of professional practice.
